Functional Safety-Based ADAS Automated Verification
Advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) are the precursor to full autonomy. As the complexity of those systems increases, the full verification and validation at a vehicle level become either too cumbersome or impossible to perform on the road. In addition, the evolution of safety standards requires a methodical systems-based approach to the design, verification, and validation.
Safety standards will be sent through the V-Model that will reveal the test systems we want to execute versus the output of the tests. We will then send the tests to the cloud and use HIL systems to simulate the vehicle scenarios, including camera functions, sensors, Radar, and LiDAR. This equipment will simulate scenarios that we will feed to the ADAS HIL that will turn from scenarios to actual signals.
