Scott Sheahan

Scott Sheahan is an automotive cybersecurity expert. As a consultant he runs Rustic Security LLC, which provides product cybersecurity engineering services to OEM and Tier-1 Suppliers. Scott aims to strengthen a client’s cybersecurity organization and project dependent cybersecurity management processes from the concept phase until the product’s end of life. His work history includes being a Cybersecurity Architect for the Connected Vehicle Group at the Ford Motor Company, a lead cybersecurity engineering over Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems at Aptiv, and a cybersecurity engineer over vehicle Intrusion Detection Systems at Nuro. Before transitioning to automotive cybersecurity, Scott was an embedded software developer for Raytheon. He uses his technical background in embedded software and cybersecurity to teach clients best practices in these areas from 1st hand experience creating secure products.
