As the Software Engineering Manager and R&D Lead at LHP, Ronaldo brings 18 years of experience in aerospace and automotive embedded systems. Ronaldo contributed to the Boeing 787 braking system and played a key role in the Embraer Legacy 450/500 environmental pneumatic controller, both requiring FAA-mandated DO-178 certification for airworthiness software. His expertise includes developing embedded software architectures, from low-level firmware to middleware and control applications, across traditional ECU platforms and next-generation smart vehicle systems. Ronaldo has led turnkey software projects for conventional controls, EV applications, and software-defined vehicles. As an active consultant, Ronaldo Castillo supports OEMs and suppliers in audit development for safety compliance. Passionate about mentorship, he emphasizes strong design and coding principles while blending waterfall and agile methodologies to drive efficiency. Ronaldo takes a hands-on, practical approach to problem-solving and lives by the philosophy: "Keep it simple, stupid" in design and development.
