Mark Stepper

Mark has 39 years experience in heavy duty vehicle integration activities, diesel engine controls, diagnostics, and serial communications. For more than 25 years, Mark has chaired many meetings and edited many versions of standards such as; J1922 Powertrain Control Interface, J1939-21 Data Link Layer, J1939-73 Diagnostics Application Layer, and ISO 11783-3 Tractors and Machinery for Agriculture and Forestry--Data Link Layer. Additionally, Mark holds 12 patents in areas related to diesel engine controls and diagnostics. He is currently employed by LHP Engineering Solutions as a Technical Advisor doing work on heavy-duty diesel hybrid OBD requirements and certification as well as helping with the diagnostic design and certification of an electric motor-assisted turbocharger for gasoline engines.
